Erosion control systems range from low-cost soil cover and biodegradable ECB’s (Erosion Control Blankets), to permanent surface reinforcement mats and highly engineered slope stability webs. The benefit is not only soil protection, but also slope protection whilst vegetation is establishing. Steeper slopes can also be engineered in order to maximise the area of flat land available for development.
